The PSP Vita launched in Japan at the weekend and the sales figures are in. Selling just over 320,000 PSP Vita units at the weekend the Vita very nearly doubled the sales achieved by the PSP launch in 2004. However it was not the sales figures that had everyone talking, it was the instability of the PSP Vita that caused most internet chatter. Many reports of issues including freezing quickly flooded the Sony helpline. A firmware update has already been issues by Sony, but the jury is out on whether it fixed the issue or not. Europeans and Americans will be hoping teething issues such as this will be resolved prior to the PSP Vita European launch in February 2012. There is no talk of delaying the UK and USA launch and as such the February 2012 PSP Vita USA launch date is still on the cards!
